The purpose of my Project 3 assignment is to convince Albuquerque City Council to take help revitalize Route 66 and Central Avenue.  Crime rates along with homelessness had made Central Avenue one of the most dangerous roads in the United States of America.  It was my task to convince City Council that there was a problem and help find a solution.  I used primary and secondary research for statistics to help with this task.  Once I had done my research, I was able to arrange it in a presentation for the City Council.  My audience was action takers and I needed to have an impactful multimodal presentation.  I also created a video presentation to accompany my formal written proposal.  The video presentation was a summary of the written proposal to help the City Council see the main points of the issue and solution.  I was able to point out the situation with statistics and provide a plan for the City Council to follow.  I provided the qualifications of the plan by showing past initiatives that had helped the situation.  Once I had put forth these items I made the pitch for the actual cost of the plan.  I was able to put a price tag on the proposal which was very necessary.  The City Council needed to understand how much our group was asking for so they could design an approach to my proposal.  Without a full layout the City Council is not able to make informed decisions.  It was my duty to give them the information in an impactful way.
