The purpose of my video project is to show people how to make zucchini bread through a precise set of instructions. My goal is to walk the viewer through step-by-step instructions via recorded video.
My audience is a large range of people. Beginners and experts of all ages. In my video, I added text at the bottom of the video when I first introduced the tools and ingredients. I felt this helped the viewer see the raw set of ingredients while I introduced them in the video. I also did this because some of the audience could be inexperienced and might not know what the packaging looked like at the grocery store. I also added in humor for the experienced viewer in the video. Trying to keep them entertained.
This was a big learning experience for me. I am somewhat anti-technology in my personal life. In my work life I use technology every day. I think because I’m so immersed in technology at work I stay away when I’m finished with my work day. However, this project prompted me to finally get a Google account and become familiar with the whole suite of applications included. I also never thought I would open a YouTube account. I thought it was for the younger generations but now I’m excited to have an account. It’s now fun and exciting for me opposed to something that intimidated me. Overall, this project of a video tutorial on how to make zucchini bread taught me a lot more about technology and making video tutorials. I read over ten sets of instructions to create this project. It helped me learn more about how to create a set of instructions to integrate into my professional career.
